Crispy garlic chicken noodles
Crispy garlic chicken noodles with peppers and basil.
Ingredients
- 2-3 packets wide rice noodles
- 1/3 cup tamari/soy sauce (plus 1 tablespoon)
- 1/4 cup sweet Thai chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon ginger
- chili flakes
- 1 pound chicken breasts (thinly sliced)
- 2 tablespoons flour or cornstarch
- 4 cloves garlic (chopped)
- 1 piece shallot (sliced)
- 2 pieces bell peppers (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup basil (chopped)
- sesame seeds
- green onions
- salt
- pepper
- olive oil
Directions

Make your sauce: combine soy sauce, sweet thai chili sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, chili flakes, and a dash of water. Set aside.

Cook the noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet add the chicken, flour, salt, pepper, and a little bit of olive oil.

Mix well and set over medium heat.

Cook until crispy, about 5-8 minutes.

Add a dash of soy sauce and the garlic.

Cook another minute, then remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Add the shallot and bell peppers to the skillet.

Cook for 8 minutes then add your sauce, the noodles, and the chicken.

Toss to combine, cooking for another few minutes until fully mixed.

Add the basil and remove from the heat.

Plate, top with sesame seeds and green onions and enjoy :)
