Sweet & spicy chili beef bowls inspired by @halfbakedharvest for dindin tonight😮💨
Sweet & spicy chili beef bowls with a fresh salad and sesame.
Ingredients
Salad
- 2 pieces red bell pepper (thinly sliced)
- 2 cups carrot (shredded)
- 1 cup cherry tomato (halved)
- 1/2 cup green onion (chopped)
- 4 Tbsp lime juice
- 4 Tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 2 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp fish sauce (or soy sauce)
- 1 Tbsp honey
Beef
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 8 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 Tbsp ginger (i use the pre grated from TJ’s)
- 1/2 cup coconut aminos
- 1/2 cup sweet chili sauce (i used the one from TJ’s)
- 2 cups basil (freshly chopped)
- black pepper (Lots of freshly ground)
- jasmine rice
- chili crunch (from TJ’s)
Directions

Combine all the ingredients for salad in a bowl, toss, and place in fridge.

Warm a pan over medium heat.

Add ground beef and black pepper.

Once ground beef is browned, add the minced garlic & grated ginger and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add coconut aminos, sweet chili sauce, & basil and stir.

Bring to a simmer and let cook for about 6-8 minutes until sauce thickens a little.

Add jasmine rice, salad, and beef to a bowl.

Top with green onions & sesame seeds and enjoy :)
